Pizza & Pasta

Owner Marco Ballesteros is a self-proclaimed simple guy who loves food, which is why he named this pizza and pasta joint quite simply, Pizza & Pasta. As a father of two growing children, Ballesteros says that people-watching and serving food are tied at first place. "I love being on campus because I get to see students grow up from being kids to adults. Man, it's crazy, haha." he says.

This family-owned place runs truly like a family. "I don't ask people to do something in an hour if I can't do it in an hour. I've done everything from making the pizza dough to serving pasta, so I know how everything works," chuckles the light-hearted Ballesteros. With a thoughtful and observant eye, Ballesteros says that his priority is to keep the food quality great so that students can learn, grow, and be successful in life. "What can I say, I love these students for some reason, hahah. They're such cute kids!" says Ballesteros. SFSU students, this one's for you.
